Environmental Monitoring & Compliance
- Performance evaluation of various air pollution control technology for particulate matter.
 - Zero Discharge Technology performance verification.
 - Data base establishment on effluent treatment system performance for odour, colour reduction and BOD20 ppm compliance.
 - Establish data collection of odour emission level at source and boundary residential area.
 - Establish odour management plan guideline with DOE to improve air quality.
 
Productivity Improvement
- Nut-free mesocarp oil extraction process (MICRONES) optimization.
 - Establish data on effect of using FFB trash removal system on CPO recovery, chloride mitigation and quality enhancement.
 
Labour Dependent/ Automation
- Proof of concept development for automate FFB ripeness grading system based on digital image and NIR.
 - To venture on IR 4.0 and artificial intelligence (AI) in CPO processing for plant wide automation.
 
Downstream Value Addition
- Minor valuable component recovery using green technology.
 - Establish database on POME properties due to development of new milling technologies
