Public Comment on The Draft of Code of Good Milling Practice for Palm Oil Mills (CoPM) Third Edition
The CoPM Certification is one of the schemes under MPOB, developed in collaboration with the industry to provide guidelines on best practices in managing the production, processing, storage, and transportation of palm oil products at the palm oil mill level. The scheme is introduced for voluntary participation and is expected to commence in January 2026.
The implementation of CoPM ensures that the products produced are safe and clean for use as either food or non-food products at subsequent stages. In addition, CoPM is developed and reviewed based on the latest legal requirements, particularly in complying with aspects of quality, safety, environmental protection, food safety and sustainability.
MPOB is pleased to announce that the Public Comment period for the Draft of Code of Practice for Palm Oil Mills (CoPM) Third Edition will officially take place from 1 August 2025 to 30 August 2025.
During this period, we invite all stakeholders to review the draft document (available for download) and share your insights, suggestions, and expert feedback. Kindly submit your comments using the Public Comment Form, and e-mail the form to secretariatcop@mpob.gov.my with the subject line: “Public Comment on the Draft of the CoPM.”
We also encourage you to support this initiative by sharing this announcement with relevant stakeholders, whether directly or indirectly involved in the palm oil industry. Should you have any enquiries regarding the public comment process, please do not hesitate to contact us:
