INTRODUCTION<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
The Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) offers the Diploma in Palm Oil Milling Technology and Management <\/span>(DIPOM).<\/span> Thirty two courses have been conducted since 1991-2024, with training in oil palm management, <\/span>palm oil technology and overall management of palm oil mills. <\/span>DIPOM is a qualification which will pave the way for career advancement for those in the oil palm industry. <\/span>Participants are assessed on project assignments and an examination. <\/span>The Diploma, comprising lectures, project reports, assignments, practical and examination, is conducted <\/span>in English. Participants are encouraged to actively participate in discussions and interactions with experts <\/span>from the oil palm industry, related agencies and MPOB.<\/span><\/span><\/div>

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
Individuals from the oil palm industry and other interested parties involved either directly or indirectly <\/span>with the crop. Those intending to move to the palm oil industry, including fresh graduates, are encouraged <\/span>to apply.<\/span><\/span><\/div>

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\u2022<\/span> For Malaysian only.<\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span> Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia<\/span> (SPM) or equivalent with minimum two years working experience in palm oil <\/span>mill and will be given preference sponsored by their respective organisations.<\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span> Basic proficiency in English.<\/span><\/span><\/div>

OBJECTIVES<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
The objective of the programme is to expose participants to various technologies related to palm oil and <\/span>its products with the emphasis on milling management. At the end of the course, participants should be:<\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span> knowledgeable on the current development and status of the palm oil industry;<\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span> acquainted with research and developments in oil palm and palm oil;<\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span> able to discuss the latest developments with the industry experts; and<\/span><\/span>
\u2022<\/span> able to apply the principles of management in their work.<\/span><\/span><\/div>
